Secretary General of the IFWL, Shen Shaoji visited the Embassy of Maldives to discuss a new chapter in logistics cooperation

On August 28, 2024, Mr. Shen Shaoji, Secretary General of the Secretariat of the International Federation of Warehousing and Logistics(IFWL) and President of the China Association of Warehousing and Distribution(CAWD), and his assistant He Muqiu visited the Embassy of Maldives in China for in-depth exchanges and discussions on deepening cooperation in the field of warehousing and logistics.

At 2:30 pm that day, Phd. Fazeel, the Ambassador of Maldives to China, warmly received Secretary General Shen Shaoji and his delegation.

After introducing the purpose, history, and activities of the IFWL and the CAWD, Secretary General Shen Shaoji hopes to strengthen the connection between the IFWL and the warehousing and logistics industry of the two countries through the embassy in China. Phd. Fazeel stated that Maldives is a country dependent on imported goods, but its public logistics system is not yet perfect. Currently, plans are being made to establish a professional logistics company to improve logistics efficiency. The purpose and activities of IFWL are meaningful for Maldives to enhance its logistics level. Phd. Fazeel is willing to forward the introduction, Articles of Association, Work Plan and other materials of the IFWL to relevant departments and enterprises in Maldives. Relevant enterprises are requested to directly contact the IFWL Secretariat and handle the franchise procedures.
