President Shen Shaoji Inspected Tianjin, Sichuan, Chongqing and Jiangsu to learn about the construction and operation status of overseas hubs

In the past few days, President Shen Shaoji, Executive Deputy Chairman, Secretary-General of The International Federation of Warehousing and Logistics (IFWL) and President of China Association of Warehousing and Distribution (CAWD) inspected Tianjin, Sichuan, Chongqing and Jiangsu with the relevant principals from key enterprises of overseas hubs to learn about the construction and operation status of overseas hubs. He attended symposiums with the commerce department leaders of relevant provinces and cities, principals from e-commerce association and relevant enterprises in cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot area. Ms. Nany Zhou, Deputy Secretary-General of IFWL and Secretary-General of The Bonded and Overseas Hub Branch,CAWD, also attended the above activities.

During the inspection, President Shen introduced the main works of CAWD to promote the construction of overseas hubs and the development of international logistics in recent years. The events had been launched the  moved as ‘The International Federation of Warehousing Logistics’ union secretariat from London to Beijing and establishment of‘Office Combination’ mechanism with The Bonded and Overseas Hub Branch, CAWD, formulated and published the first association standard of overseas hubs in China, ‘Facilities Technical Requirements and Operation Management Specifications for Public Overseas Warehouse’,evaluated the first batch of standardized public overseas hubs.

In the next 5-10 years, CAWD shall devote to promote the linkage of the warehousing resources of overseas hubs, bonded warehouses and the member enterprises of the IFWL, establish and improve the operation of cross-border supply chain system and international cloud platform. President Shen also briefly introduced the relevant situation about the working status and policy guiding of the relevant national departments to promote the construction of overseas hubs.

President Shen contributed the working details to the commerce department leaders of relevant provinces and cities, relevant e-commerce and overseas hub enterprises. He introduced the extensive, in-depth and productive discussions under the themes of development status and problems of cross-border e-commerce. He organized the matching degree between the total amount and distribution of overseas hubs and cross-border e-commerce, the way of construction and operation of the overseas hubs, the demand of development of standardization, information and digitalization, suggestions from local governments and enterprises on national policy of overseas hub, and opinions on the work of industry organization. All of CAWD, the relevant commerce departments and enterprises reached broadly consensus on the cooperation of resources docking, standard setting and personnel training.

President Shen went to Tianjin Commission of Commerce to attend a symposium on overseas hub. Then he visited CloudPower (Tianjin) and Tianjin TRADETOUCH to learn about the development status of cross-border e-commerce and overseas hubs, financial operation mode of Cross-border E-commerce supply chain of China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, bonded overseas hubs of TEDA SUEZ on April 14.

President Shen visited China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Chengdu International Railway Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone and BANYAN to learn about business model of comprehensive bonded zone, China-Europe Railway Express and digital overseas hubs. Then he attended a symposium with the relevant leaders of e-commerce office of Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce in Chengdu Cross-border E-commerce Association on April 19-20.
